Resiliency of Stress

Stress resilience is the mental ability to recover from stress. According to the American Association of Psychology, stress resilience is the process of adapting positively in the face of tragedy, trauma, or threats.

Unlike popular belief, stress resiliency is not just a one-time event. It takes time to build and comprises of taking various steps to help it grow stronger in time. The following are practices that will help you build resiliency.

1. Think Positively

You need to have a vision in life and know your purpose. Keep your goals ahead no matter how stressed your brain is.

2. Think of Your Vision

Once you have identified your vision, make sure that you mediate on it. When you believe in yourself and energize your thoughts on your vision, it will be easier to keep things in prospection.

3. Balance Your Emotions

Once cause of stress is anxiety; hence, it’s important to know how to balance your emotions. This will make your brain relaxed and help you think more about helpful things.

4. Remember Previous Depression You Underwent

If you conquered depression before, consider doing what helped you recover and leave whatever held you up. This will strengthen your optimism and hope for the future.

5. Don’t Lose Hope

Holding on to hope is an effective way to combat stress. Being hopeful will give you strength to continue pursuing your dreams and goals.
