Inspired by Italia

Nov 12, 2010

Fashion’s Collective has been traveling Italy for the past week and a half, being inspired by everything and everyone this amazing culture has to offer, not the least of which is style, true, inherent, deeply profound style. The Italians are dripping with it.

Contrary to the belief that style is personal and cultivated over time, in a place like this, it seems almost as if style is a trait you are born with, much like gender or eye color. Fashion sense is suddenly a given. Why doesn’t everyone live here?

Maybe it’s because with all of that pasta, no one’s couture would fit? (Just taking a gander).

Truly though, it has been one of the most inspiring trips, and we wanted to share with you some of our favorite finds, in no order of importance:

Iosselliani Jewelry: A husband and wife team that produces the most exquisite pieces, unlike any other we’ve seen! And although we discovered them in Rome, where they are based, they are sold online!

Herzel de Bach: A must-go women’s shoe store carrying only their very own handmade collection. Located at 123 Via Del Babuino 123 and Via Propaganda near the Spanish steps.

Della Palma Gelato: Can’t say enough delicious things about this gelato parlor. Everyone must go taste for themselves. Near the Pantheon.

Battistoni: The Battistoni store in Rome is a treasure to be discovered, one of the most memorable men’s shopping experiences this city has to offer.
