We had the opportunity to take part in the Fashion140 Conference remotely, watching via Livestream, and tweeting the highlights of the conference to our followers. What makes Twitter so perfect for events is the ability to quickly capture sound bites and save them for later.
Below are our top 18 twi-ghlights (Twitter highlights, get it?) from the conference:
1. People sign into Facebook at 8am, 12pm, 4pm, and 8pm. Plan content sharing accordingly, but keep in mind time zones!

3. Women outnumber men on social media. 5.5 hrs per month vs. 3.9.
4. 60% of menswear is purchased by women. How can we use this stat when we think about selling men’s clothing online?

7. E-mail is not going anywhere. Important part of the @HauteLook business.
8. Twitter feeds for brands like @OscarPRGirl are a kind of “reality TV”

10. @mrjoezee working on how to give Elle readers relevant info that doesn’t feel old when magazines are worked on 4 months out.
